Beginner swim classes with games, patience and proper fundamentals, in small groups at Sengkang Swimming Pool and Punggol Swimming Pool. Private lessons also available.
How we teach
Nervous swimmers go at their own pace, with games and gentle steps until water on the face feels fine.
Close attention to breathing, leg kicks and body position, so every skill sits on a solid base.
Two coaches keep classes small and tailored to each learner. Water safety always comes first.
SwimSafer 2.0
SwimSafer is Singapore’s national water-safety programme. Swimmers progress through six stages of about 12 hours of lessons each, and get an e-certificate when they pass a stage. Stages 4 to 6 are Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Stage 1
Build confidence and independence in the water, with general and deep-end water safety.
Stage 2
Step-in entries, sculling, surface skills and personal water safety. Goal: 25 m of continuous swimming.
Stage 3
Stride-jump entries, underwater skills and swimming with a lifejacket. Goal: 50 m of continuous swimming.
Bronze (Stage 4)
Stroke technique and coordinated breathing in deep water, plus the first rescue skills. Goal: 100 m of a variety of strokes.
Silver (Stage 5)
Introduces diving, and swimming away quickly from a sinking boat. Efficient strokes over 200 m within set times.
Gold (Stage 6)
Strong strokes over 400 m within set times, and the most advanced survival skills.
Based on the official SwimSafer 2.0 Instructor Manual (July 2025).
My 5-year-old daughter used to throw huge tantrums whenever water touched her face, so I was nervous about starting swimming lessons. The coach was very patient, though. Instead of forcing her into the water, they used games and gentle step-by-step guidance until she could blow bubbles and put her head under comfortably. Within a few weeks she was kicking across the pool on her own float, and now she looks forward to every weekend session.

We wanted our son to learn proper swimming fundamentals, not just splash around. The coach pays close attention to breathing, leg kicks, and body position. Before his second month ended, he swam his first full 15-meter lap with no help, and I was amazed. I’d recommend these classes to any parent who wants results for their child.

My biggest priority as a parent was finding an instructor who puts water safety first without making the class boring. The classes keep the kids engaged, and the small class size means no child is left unsupervised in the pool. My twins are building core strength and water confidence every week.
